FTD America's Cup - Competitors

Cindy Anderson AIFD, CFD, PFCI
Colorado Springs, CO

Cindy was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in 2004 and Professional Floral Communicators International (PFCI) in September of 2011. She has competed in numerous national and local competitions and placed first in the Sylvia Cup (2009), Floral Association of the Rockies' Bridal Bouquet Competition (2009, 2010 and 2011), Colorado Retail Florists Association Colorado Cup (2008) and Floral Association of the Rockies' Rocky Mountain Cup in 2012.

Samantha Bates AIFD, CFD
Especially for You Floral, Ponchatoula, LA

Samantha received her AIFD accreditation in 2016. In 2017, she was named to Florists' Review's "Thirty-Five Under 35." She was named the Louisiana State Designer of the year in 2014 and also represented the state in the 2015 Mid America Cup. Samantha was one of 20 florists to compete in the first Jim Johnson Cup.

Maggie Binet AIFD, AAF, CFD, PFCI
The School of Floral Arts, Denver, CO

In 2014, Maggie founded The School of Floral Arts LLC in Denver. Her company, Le Jardin Binet LLC, creates decor for trade shows across the U.S. In 2013, she was both the Rocky Mountain Cup winner and Rocky Mountain Designer of the Year. She was also awarded the 2008 President's Award and the 2011 Cherrie Award from the Colorado Retail Florists Association (CRFA) and the Floral Association of the Rockies (FAR).

Laura Daluga AIFD, CFD
Keller and Stein Florist, Canton, MI

Laura, a fourth-generation florist, is a designer at Keller & Stein in Canton, Michigan. She is also the owner of the Department of Floristry, a design studio. She was the People's Choice winner for the Iron Designers America for the International Floral Expo in 2016. In 2017, Laura was appointed to the OASIS Floral Products Design Director team.

Sally Jablonski
Herbert E. Berg Florist, Worcester, MA

For the past 23 years, Sally has been the owner of Herbert E. Berg Florist Inc. in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is an invited designer at the Worcester Art Museum's Flora in Winter exhibition and competes in the Newport Flower Show. Sally competed in multiple FTD competitions in the 1980s and '90s, including the 1989 FTD World Competition in Tokyo. She placed second in the 2012 Connecticut State Floral Design Competition and second in the 2013 Connecticut State Floral Competition Masters.

Lee's Florist & Nursery, Berkeley, CA

Greg was inducted into AIFD at the age of 27 and has been an active member since 1998. He is an AIFD Advisor for Floral Artists of the Bay Area. His work has been published in several international magazines, including Fleur Creatif (Belgium), Flowers World Magazine (Russia) and Clip...Flores y Mas (Spain). He earned his European Masters Certification in 2012.

Katharina Stuart AIFD, CFD, CCF
Lee's Florist & Nursery, Berkeley, CA

Katharina has been working as a floral designer for more than 30 years, both in Europe and the U.S. In 2007, she opened Katharina Stuart Floral Art and Design. She began competing in 2004 and won the California State Floral Association Top Ten Design Competition in 2005 and the San Francisco Cup in 2015. She became a California Certified Florist (CCF) in 2006 and was inducted into AIFD in 2008.

Jorge Uribe CFD
Urban Floral, Wolcott, CT

Jorge is the owner and creative floral artist at Urban Floral LLC in Wolcott, Connecticut. Jorge is currently studying with Tomas De Bruyne and Hitomi Gilliam to obtain his European Masters Certification and will be inducted as an AIFD designer at the 2018 AIFD Symposium in Washington, D.C. He credits his studies in the areas of graphic design, painting and photography with influencing his work in floral design.

Derek Woodruff AIFD, CFD, PFCI, CF
Floral Underground, Traverse City, MI

Derek joined the floral industry at the age of 16. He launched his business, Floral Underground, in 2008. Derek enjoys presenting and competing and has received the Michigan Floral Association's Chuck Bannow Award, was the MFA's Designer of the Year (twice), won the AIFD Bobbi Cup twice, won the 2016 Sylvia Cup Design Competition and was second runner-up on a national television floral design competition, The Arrangement.

Randy Wooten AIFD, PFCI, GMF
Delorice's Florist, Douglas, GA

Randy is the fourth-generation owner and lead designer at Delorice's Florist in Douglas, Georgia. Throughout his career, he has been honored with the 2012 Georgia State Florist Association's Retailer of the Year Award, 2009 Dick Timmons Service Award and 2006 Georgia State Florist Association Designer of the Year Award. He educates his peers at various design shows and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern Chapter of AIFD.
