FTD CONTINUES SUCCESSFUL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN FOR UPCOMING HOLIDAYS

DOWNERS GROVE, IL. (October 22, 2003) - FTD is excited to continue the successful "Be A Hero" advertising campaign for FTD Members this upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. Thousands of FTD Members are benefiting from the popular multi-million dollar FTD TV commercials, which they can customize with their shop information and run in their local markets. For Christmas, FTD is tagging its holiday TV commercial with FTD's lead holiday branded product, the Waterford Holiday Heirlooms® Bouquet presented by FTD®. The print campaign includes new print advertisements in the U.S. for Thanksgiving and in both the U.S. and Canada for Christmas, in addition to the successful TV commercials, running on leading TV stations. In addition to this branded advertising, FTD is proud to announce its association with HP and increased brand exposure through the HP+ advertising campaign.

FTD Holiday Print Campaign
The impressive print advertisement for Thanksgiving in the U.S. will be found in the popular People magazine, which reaches more than 30 million readers showcasing FTD's lead Thanksgiving bouquet.

The Christmas print campaign will also reach millions of consumers with the exciting launch of a co-op print advertisement featuring the Waterford Holiday Heirlooms® Bouquet presented by FTD®. Plus, thousands of local FTD Florists signed up for FTD's new Co-Op Program and will be listed next to the advertisement in order to drive traffic right to their business. This ad will be included in the FSI (Valassis free standing insert) in most Sunday Newspapers' coupon section in the U.S. and in the Canadian TV Guide for FTD Members in Canada.

FTD Holiday TV Campaign
Based on the success of FTD Members utilizing FTD's award-winning TV campaign, FTD has prepared the "Wild Child" commercial to feature the new Waterford Holiday Heirlooms® Bouquet presented by FTD®. The commercial is scheduled to run during popular primetime TV shows such as "Friends", "Las Vegas", "Third Watch" and "Today" as well as several national cable channels in the U.S. and "Scrubs", "West Wing" and various hockey games in Canada.

FTD is very pleased to continue offer all FTD Florists these multi-million dollar FREE TV and print ads, which they can view and order through the FTDi.com Website. Both the Thanksgiving and Christmas print ads can be tagged with local florist information, as well as the Christmas TV ad. Thousands of florists are taking advantage of this FREE offer from FTD and seeing the benefits of utilizing these professionally developed advertising tools to partner with FTD.

HP Advertising featuring FTD
In addition to the exciting holiday schedule, HP selected FTD to be a part of its HP+ advertising campaign along with other leading brands like Starbucks and Federal Express, increasing FTD's Brand exposure. The creative print ads with this campaign already have been featured in popular print publications such as USA Today, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Time and U.S. News and the TV ad featuring the FTD Brand began airing in September and will continue through October. The TV commercial is seen on various primetime TV shows such as NFL games, "Survivor", "Ed", "ER", "Boston Public", "CSI Miami", "Friends" and "Will & Grace".
