FTD ANNOUNCES 11TH ANNUAL FTD® GOOD NEIGHBOR DAY®
Local Florists Nationwide Help Spread Kindness
and Good Cheer to Local Communities

DOWNERS GROVE, IL. (August 30, 2005) - FTD Group, Inc.(NYSE:FTD) is excited to announce that the 11th Annual FTD® Good Neighbor Day® holiday will take place on Wednesday, September 7, 2005. Hundreds of FTD florists across the U.S. are planning exciting local events, gathering sponsors, making philanthropic relationships and helping to spread friendship and kindness to their neighbors through the distribution of free floral bouquets.

Hundreds of local FTD florists customize Good Neighbor Day each year with their own special twist. Some spread cheer by standing in the subway stations distributing hundreds of bouquets of roses to busy consumers during peak commuter times. Some partner with local charities so that any individual that gives blood, donates a can of food, etc... receives a full bouquet to share with other locals. There are even FTD florists who host food tastings and provide spa treatments in their shops to celebrate Good Neighbor Day.

FTD Good Neighbor Day was started in 1994 by FTD Member Brook Jacobs, owner of Greenbrook Flowers in Jackson, MS. The idea behind the holiday is for florists to give away a bouquet of flowers to people in their community encouraging each recipient to keep one for them and hand the others away to make new friends and share kindness to strangers. The goal of the holiday outreach is to spread goodwill to neighbors and make new friends through the exchange of flowers. Jacobs invited all fellow florists to share in the idea 10 years ago through FTD.
