FTD Releases Major Update to Flagship Mercury Point of Sale Product
New Version 8.0 Delivers New Features and Enhancements

DOWNERS GROVE, IL. (May 24, 2007) - FTD recently announced the latest version of its flagship floral business solution, FTD Mercury 8.0. Available free to current FTD Mercury users, the new update provides exciting new features to save time, increase efficiency, and increase florist profitability. This breakthrough release delivers a robust platform to power flower shops of all sizes.

FTD Mercury 8.0 provides new features designed to improve business efficiency. Key features include:

  • Automatic Order Processing: Easily configure FTD Mercury to automatically process Flowers All Hours, FTD Florists Online Web site, and FTD Mercury incoming orders.
  • One-Click Refunds: Quickly create refunds and link them to the original sales.
  • Printing Enhancements: Four new forms that can be customized and routed to specific printers and printer trays, as well as one-off printing.
  • Pool Ticket Printing: Create pool delivery zones, as well as convert your existing pool ticket into an electronic form which will integrate with FTD Mercury.
  • C.O.D. Support: Mark orders for pickup and local delivery for payment when the order is picked up or the driver delivers it.
  • Enhanced Customer & Florist Searches: Easily search for customers with color-coded entries and view florist information on a single screen.
  • Abbreviation/Send To Codes: Enter an entire recipient address and quickly key it into orders.
  • Workflow Enhancements: Efficiently interact with your customer and order database with new visual cues, different colored Order Entry and Point of Sale backgrounds, and more!
