FTD ANNOUNCES 2004 "MOTHER OF THE YEAR" AWARD RECIPIENT

DOWNERS GROVE, IL. (April 29, 2004) - FTD, Inc. a leading provider in floral products and services, today announced Joanne Brundage, founder of Mothers & More, as the recipient of the 2004 FTD Mother of the Year Award. For 94 years, the FTD Brand has been associated with showing appreciation for moms around the world on the largest floral holiday of the year - Mother's Day. This year, in addition to honoring all mothers, FTD is recognizing Brundage.

Brundage, mother of three, founded Mothers & More in 1987 after the birth of her second child and currently serves as its Executive Director. She founded the organization in attempt to reach out to other mothers feeling the stress associated with the transitions required to successfully balance paid employment and motherhood.

Starting as a support group in Brundage's living room in Elmhurst, IL, Mothers & More now is a national support and advocacy organization that has grown to 170+ chapters in 38 states with more than 7,500 members. The group addresses mothers' needs as individuals and members of society and promotes the value of all the work mothers do.

The FTD Mother of the Year Award is part of the celebration and recognition of all mothers on Mother's Day. The essential criteria includes demonstration of leadership qualities in effort to make a difference for women and mothers in the community, leadership by example through personal and professional growth, and weight on the importance of the role of motherhood and emphasis on family.
