Why is Mercury Advantage Linux-based and what does that mean?
Linux is a computer operating system. An operating system is the software that provides the interface between the hardware of a computer system and the applications programs that are used on it. Simply put, the operating system provides the link between the hardware of the computer and the user.
Linux is very powerful, extremely flexible and ideal for sophisticated business applications, making it the ideal choice for Mercury Advantage.

Why is FTD Mercury Windows-based and what does that mean?
Windows is the world's most popular operating system software because it is so easy to learn and so easy to use. Windows XP provides secure network protection, easy-to-use point-and-click technology, and the ability to perform multiple tasks from a single console.
