FTD Good Neighbor Day

Drive Local Business to Your Shop:
Host a PR Event

Celebrate the joy of giving flowers and spread goodwill in your community - while driving foot traffic into your business! This year's FTD Good Neighbor Day falls on Patriot Day, Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Join us in spreading cheer and celebrating local heroes for the 19th annual event.

Florists that have successfully hosted an FTD Good Neighbor Day event realize a variety of benefits:

  • Increased foot traffic into their shop
  • Increased awareness of the shop's location through local media placements
  • Increased community relations by partnering with other local businesses (i.e. donut shop provides free donuts and coffee)
  • Repeat business from customers using discount/coupon offers distributed on FTD Good Neighbor Day

The concept of the holiday is simple: florists give away a bouquet of flowers to people in their community encouraging each recipient to keep one for themself and hand the others away to make new friends and share kindness to strangers.

FTD Good Neighbor Day was started in 1994 by FTD Member the late Brook Jacobs, owner of Greenbrook Flowers in Jackson, MS.
